Police car struck as 10 vehicles drive dangerously at Coominya

A police vehicle has been damaged in a dangerous driving incident at Coominya, which reportedly involved 10 vehicles.

Officers say they responded to reports of dangerous driving at around 12.30am yesterday, on McLean Road.

The majority of the vehicles fled the area, when police arrived.

However, it will be alleged a Ford Falcon Ute intentionally drove at a marked police vehicle, causing damage.

No officers were physically injured during the incident.

The vehicles involved have not yet been located and investigations remain ongoing.

Police say they remain committed to detecting, deterring, and disrupting dangerous driving behaviour to help keep Queensland roads safe.

The assistance of the community plays a vital role in these investigations, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicles travelling in the Coominya area around the time of the incident is being urged to come forward.
