An elderly woman has died after being struck by an SUV in North Ipswich.
Police say the 81-year-old woman suffered critical head injuries after a Nissan X-Trail reversed into her and knocked her to the ground on Simmons Road around 10:30 last night.
She was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, an 84-year-old woman, is assisting police with inquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
