Hospitality venues are expecting a roaring trade for this Sunday’s AFLW grand final.
Around 10,000 footy fans will pack Springfield’s new Brighton Homes Arena for the clash between Brisbane Lions and Melbourne Demons.
Curtis, who manages the Springfield Tavern is expecting punters to enjoy a bevvy and feed ahead the main event.
“It’s going to be huge, a first of its kind in the area,” Curtis says.
“We’re expecting to be packed out, we’ve got a fair few tables booked, the sports bar is taking a fair few bookings as well.”
Curtis says it is great to see patrons returning to pubs and support the hospitality industry, which is a stark contrast to the past COVID-19 challenges.
“It brings the morale up, everything easing back to normality is good for everyone,” he says.
