The search for the body of Toowong woman Leslie Trotter (pictured below) will continue at an Ipswich dump again today.

Police and members of the Australian Defence Force have been given photos of clothing, the 78-year-old may have been wearing, in hope of finding any evidence of her as they sort through tonnes of landfill at Swanbank.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham says it will be an extremely difficult task.

“This job will be challenging, we acknowledge that there are significant challenges in finding Mrs Trotter’s body.

This will be a lengthy process, we expect on a good day weather permitting that we will be able to search through 200 tonne of rubbish per day,” he says.

Leslie Trotter went missing from her home three weeks ago.

Police haven’t ruled out foul play but are confident that her body was put in a wheelie bin with the contents first taken to Nudgee, before then being moved on to Swanbank.
