Police have charged an Ipswich father with murder following the death of his newborn son.
The three-month-old baby died yesterday after presenting to Ipswich Hospital with significant internal injuries earlier this month.
Overnight, detectives from the Ipswich Child Protection Investigation Unit, with assistance from the Child Trauma Unit, arrested a 28-year-old man at an Ipswich address taking him into custody.

He has been charged with one count of murder – domestic violence against a child.
He’ll appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Investigations remain ongoing.
