$53 million deal brings first luxury Hilton Hotel to Ipswich

Ipswich is reaching new heights with the announcement today of a new $53 million luxury hotel to be built in the CBD ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games .

The hotel will be known as the Hilton Garden Inn and is predicted to supercharge tourism in the Ipswich region.

The luxury Inn will feature 160 rooms over seven storeys on vacant council-owned land on Ellenborough Street, next to the Nicholas Street Precinct.

A landmark deal was struck between Ipswich Hotel Group Pty Ltd, Ipswich City Council and Hilton.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said Ipswich City Council has signed a development agreement for the construction of the Hilton Garden Inn.

“The hotel will take Ipswich’s reputation as a must-visit destination for great experiences to the next level. This hotel is a game-changer for the city,” Mayor Harding said

Director of Ipswich Hotel Group Pty Ltd Rupert Yang said the partnership with Hilton and Ipswich City Council was an exciting opportunity.
