Well I guess they still have bad blood.
It would seem to appear that the Donald Trump and Taylor Swift feud has reignited as the US President has taken to Truth Socials to comment about the popular music icons appearance. A few days ago, on his Truth Social account the US President posted to his nearly 10-million followers the below statement. “Has anyone noticed that, since I said “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” she’s no longer “HOT?”.

The quote “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” is in reference to a previous Truth Social post of his in which he exclaimed his hatred for the most streamed artist on Spotify in 2024, Taylor Swift, after she endorsed democratic candidate Kamala Harris in September of 2024 during the election trail. Swift took aim at Trump after he created AI generated images of her promoting the Trump campaign, I imagine to capitalise on the younger market and try to win voters outside his usual demographic. This though was something that the then former President was not willing to let slide and has since gone on the offensive in regards to Taylor Swift.
Trump has even taken to the air to express his opinion on the 14-time grammy award winning singer/songwriter, as he joined Fox & Friends the day after his initial “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” post and commented:
“I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time… But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”.
Despite all this, highest selling live tour record holder Taylor Swift is yet to reply to anything the current POTUS has said. The closest we’ve gotten to a response from Swift was when she made a public endorsement online of Democratic Candidate Kamala Harris:
“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
It would appear though that not every member of the Trump family is in agreement with the President in this matter. As Ivanka Trump took her daughter to the Eras Tour last October after their public feud had begun, even getting her daughter a Taylor Swift themed cake that she later posted online with the caption “Best cake for my favourite Swiftie”.
I’m confused as to what has re-sparked this feud though for the President. We last saw him take aim at Swift during the Super Bowl in April this year as they were both in attendance. He made effort to question the crowd on how Swift and current partner Travis Kelce were together “How did that work out?” he asked repeatedly.
But this current post seems unprompted, Taylor Swift is still yet to respond and considering she hasn’t to any of the others yet, I wouldn’t hold your breath.
