December’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games are here, and they’re bringing an eclectic mix of must-play titles straight to your digital library. From stomping robot dinosaurs in LEGO form to surviving psychological horror and even slaying demons in Heaven, your holidays just got a serious upgrade (and maybe a little terrifying).

To kick off the year’s end and the looming holiday cheer, PlayStation is delivering a special December lineup, with a handful of big-hitter titles set to land on Tuesday, 2 December, and stay until Monday, 5 January. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a quirky co-op adventure or crave a serious test of survival skills, this month has something for every mood—and every level of mayhem.

LEGO Horizon Adventures | PS5

Imagine the majestic, machine-filled world of Horizon but rebuilt with those satisfying, colourful bricks. Yes, it’s as brilliant as it sounds. Join the formidable hunter Aloy as she battles an ancient digital demon and a questionable gang of sun-worshippers who, frankly, just want everything to burn).

This action-adventure is a surprisingly deep dive, allowing you to play solo as Aloy or unlock vibrant characters like Varl, Teersa, and Erend, each with unique skills. The real treat here is the innovative couch co-op, letting you and a friend share the same screen and the same world without annoying splits. Need a challenge? Replay levels that change to keep you on your toes. It’s a delightful, blocky twist on a beloved franchise that’s perfect for some festive, light-hearted fun.

Killing Floor 3 | PS5

For those who prefer their festive cheer with a side of gore, Killing Floor 3 is ready to deliver. This is the next evolution of the infamous first-person action horror series, known for its visceral, gut-churning combat. Horzine, the megacorp that clearly didn’t read the ‘do not make bioengineered monstrosities’ memo, has unleashed frenzied swarms of creatures called ‘zeds’ onto the streets.

The rebel faction Nightfall is humanity’s last hope. Join up to six players in co-op mode, gear up with seriously merciless weapons and gadgets designed to melt through zeds, and make use of new abilities like dashing and climbing to navigate the carnage. This game is pure, high-octane adrenaline. Get ready to turn the tide, or lose what’s left to the darkness. No pressure, though.

The Outlast Trials | PS4, PS5

If you thought holiday family gatherings were psychologically draining, wait until you enter the Murkoff Corporation’s facility. The Outlast Trials is a first-person psychological survival horror that Red Barrels is using to test how much you can handle. Abducted and trapped, your goal is simple: complete the terrifying Trials and MK-Challenges to earn the ‘right’ to be released back into society.

The core gameplay is classic Outlast: avoid, hide, and run away from your unsettling enemies. You’ll earn tools to help with stealth and escape, but you’ll have to work for them. Play solo if you dare, or bring up to three friends online for a shared nightmare. Just remember: it’s not about fighting; it’s about surviving and getting out. Good luck sleeping through Christmas.

Synduality Echo of Ada | PS5

Welcome to 2222, years after “The Tears of the New Moon”—a poisonous rain—wiped out most of humanity. Forced underground, the remaining survivors now have to risk the surface to collect the rare and vital AO Crystals. You play as a Drifter, riding a powerful mech called a Cradlecoffin, and working alongside your AI partner, a Magus.

The surface is not a nice place. It’s infested with xenomorphic creatures known as Enders, toxic rains, and other hostile players looking to scavenge your hard-earned loot. It’s a high-stakes scavenger hunt where a single false move means losing your mech and all your precious supplies. Cooperate with your Magus, stay alert, and don’t trust anyone. It’s an apocalyptic loot-a-thon with huge risks and hopefully, huge rewards.

Neon White | PS4, PS5

This is not your average visit to the afterlife. Neon White is a lightning-fast first-person action game where you, an assassin named White, are plucked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a permanent spot in Heaven. The catch? The other assassins seem suspiciously familiar, like you might have known them in a past, less-demon-slaying life.

The genius of Neon White lies in its ‘Soul Cards.’ You collect these cards to attack your foes, but you can also discard them for unique movement abilities. The goal is blistering speed, you need to combine those cards cleverly to discover massive shortcuts and achieve the best times. It’s a high-octane blend of platforming, shooting, and speed-running. Get ready to jump, dash, and exterminate your way to salvation.
