The Aussie legend has been making waves in the US while promoting his upcoming spot on Dancing With The Stars. During a game of Truth or Dare with PEOPLE magazine, he dropped a seriously cheeky story. Let’s get into it!
Crikey! A Snake on a Date?
So, how did this all go down? Robert admitted that he once used his animal skills to his advantage while on a date. Talk about a power move!
“I may or may not have — look I’m going all red now,” he laughed before spilling the beans.
“I went on a date once, and I was driving her back, and I, on the road, a snake was crossing the road, and in my mind I was like ‘yes!’.”
Could the timing be any better?!
A Perfectly Timed Rescue Mission
Of course, being an Irwin, he couldn’t just leave the snake there. He slammed on the brakes (safely, he assures us!) and jumped out to save the day.
The snake, which was non-venomous, even gave him a little bite during the rescue. But for Robert, it was all part of the plan!
“It was no worries, but in my mind, I was like, ‘Thank you, snake, that was really well timed,’” he said. You’ve got to admire the dedication! What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done to impress someone?
From Wildlife to the Dance Floor
This all comes as Robert gets ready to trade his khakis for dancing shoes. He’s set to appear on the US version of Dancing With The Stars, partnering with professional dancer Witney Carson McAllister. We’ll all be cheering him on from Down Under!
