Prime Video has released the official trailer for Top End Bub, the eagerly awaited Australian Amazon Original series premiering exclusively on September 12 in Australia and New Zealand.
A sequel to the 2019 hit film Top End Wedding, this heartwarming eight-part series stars Miranda Tapsell (Love Child, The Sapphires) and Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody, The Great) as Lauren and Ned.
The story picks up as Lauren and Ned’s city lives are turned upside down after the tragic death of Lauren’s sister, Ronelle, in a car accident in Australia’s breathtaking Top End region. When they return to Darwin, Lauren must navigate the chaos of her family, including her parents, Daffy and Trevor. To make things even more challenging, the couple becomes guardians to Ronelle’s lively young daughter, Taya, leading to a heartfelt and humorous journey of love, family, and resilience.
The series reunites favourite cast members from Top End Wedding, including Ursula Yovich, Huw Higginson, Shari Sebbens, Elaine Crombie, Rob Collins, and Tracy Mann. It also introduces fresh faces, such as Brooke Satchwell, Guy Simon, Clarence Ryan, and rising star Gladys-May Kelly, who shines in her screen debut as Taya.
