Police allege that it occurred when three men went to a Staplyton man’s home demanding a refund on a 2013 Nissan Pulsar, which had been purchased three days prior.

A disturbance erupted between the group before the 52-year-old was thrown from a first floor verandah onto the ground below.

It’s alleged he was further assaulted while on the ground, before the trio fled in a Volkswagen van.

The victim sustained serious spinal injuries requiring surgery.

Both men are due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 17.
