As the September school holidays creep closer it’s a reminder police will be out and about in our region keeping us safe.

Police say with increased traffic there’s a greater need for care and responsibility behind the wheel.

They’ve launched Operation Xray Spring Break – to continue for at least this month.

Police will be highly visible around the region, enforcing speed limits and conducting RBT and RDT operations.

This September also marks Rural Road Safety Month in Queensland – a reminder to avoid the fatal five on our region’s roads.

Residents are reminded to visit the Queensland Traffic website for up to date traffic and travel tips and information.
