A man has been critically injured in an alleged violent assault in the Ipswich suburb of Goodna overnight.
Police and emergency crews were called to a location off Caldwell Street at just before 10pm following reports a 38-year-old man had been stabbed.
Queensland Ambulance paramedics then treated the man for multiple stab wounds to his chest, back and arm before being taken to the PA Hospital in a critical condition.

Following subsequent patrols, officers located an 18-year-old man near Lightbody Street, who is now assisting police with their inquiries.
Investigations are ongoing.
