A man’s due to face an Ipswich court today, charged over the drowning death of a baby boy in the Gympie region.
Emergency services were called to a park in Chatsworth and found the seven-month-old boy unresponsive.
He later died in hospital.

Following a major police investigation, a 42-year-old man was arrested in Bundamba yesterday.
He was then charged with manslaughter (domestic violence).
He is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
