A 29-year-old is facing a grievous bodily harm charge following an alleged early morning assault in Brisbane City which resulted in a man being hospitalised with serious head injuries.
Detectives allege that an altercation occurred between three men outside a licensed venue in Eagle Lane around 1.20am Monday which saw a 23-year-old Northgate man allegedly assaulted.
He fell and hit his head on the concrete curb.
It is understood the man lost consciousness for a period of time before being transported to hospital.
Police arrested a Laidley Heights man at the scene and charged him with grievous bodily harm.
He was granted police bail and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 19.
