Police are waiting on the results of an autopsy to determine how a 19-year-old Ipswich woman died.
Krystle Monks was found unconscious at a Bundamba home on Saturday night.
She later passed away in hospital.
Regional Crime Coordinator for Southern Region Detective Superintendent Larissa Miller (pictured above) says they’re not quite sure what happened to her.
“We’re closely examining the circumstances of her death and as all unexplained deaths we are treating this as suspicious.
“An autopsy has been completed and we are awaiting the results of the autopsy forensic medical examination,” she says.
Detective Superintendent Larissa Miller is urging information from the public in relation to Ms Monks death.
“Today we are appealing to neighbours, family and friends and members of the Ipswich community to come forward with any information they think may assist with investigation.
It’s understood that police were previously called on domestic violence matters relating to Ms Monk, but there were no orders in place.
Krystle’s family wants the 19-year-old to be remembered as forever young, always beautiful and being kind.
