It’s been a shocking weekend on our roads across the state but two local men have sadly died in separate incidents over the period.
A Scenic Rim man has died after a two vehicle crash on Green Ridge Road at Jimboomba.
Around 4.30 pm on Saturday, emergency services responded to the accident involving a motorbike and car.
Police believe the motorbike rider was overtaking a number of vehicles when a car making a turn collided with him.
A 27 year old Wonglepong man died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating, with any footage of the incident sought by police.
Just over a few hours later on Saturday and a man in his 60s died in a single vehicle crash.
A 67 year old man sadly died after veering off the Warrego Highway on Saturday evening around 8.30 pm.
The Regency Downs man is believed to have have exited the car after the crash, with police finding the crashed vehicle abandoned.
Anyone with any footage is asked to come forward as the Forensic Crash Unit investigate.
