Harmony Day
Harmony Day Celebration – 21 March 2026
Hosted by Vedanta Centre, Springfield Lakes
The Vedanta Centre at Springfield Lakes will host a vibrant and inclusive community celebration for Harmony Day on Saturday, 21 March 2026, welcoming residents from across the region for a morning of culture, connection, and shared understanding.
The celebration will showcase the rich cultural diversity of the Springfield community through soulful performances, engaging cultural activities, and meaningful conversations that reflect the Harmony Day message: Everyone Belongs. A key highlight of the event will be discussions on harmony and inclusion led by several prominent speakers, including a keynote address by Giridharan Sivaraman, Australia’s Race Discrimination Commissioner.
Families and visitors of all ages will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities, including face painting and a petting zoo, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for the whole community. Guests will also be treated to delicious food from Maa Sarada’s Kitchen, offering traditional flavours prepared with care. A variety of market stalls will feature everyday items and unique souvenirs.
Swami Atmeshananda, the President of the Vedanta Centre, said the event provides an important opportunity to strengthen community connections and celebrate shared values.
“Harmony Day reminds us that despite our differences, we are all connected by our shared humanity. When we come together with respect, kindness, and openness, we create a community where everyone feels valued and at home,” the Swami said.
The Vedanta Centre warmly invites the entire community to attend this uplifting celebration of multiculturalism, unity, and belonging.
