Each year St Mary’s Catholic Primary school, Laidley Township and surrounds celebrate ” A Day For Emily”. This day raises valuable funds and awareness for Batten Disease. This special day is dedicated to raising awareness about Batten Disease, a rare and life-limiting condition that affects children like Emily. Activities, events, and community support will all help to shine a light on this important cause. Business decorate the main street of Laidley in pink, Emilly’s favourite colour. Each year this event keeps getting bigger and bigger.
