90 years of Bunya Parks Scout Group

MEDIA RELEASE   Bunya Park Scout Group Celebrates 90 Years of Scouting in Toowoomba   Bunya Park Scout Group will mark a major milestone this year, celebrating its 90th anniversary on Saturday, 15 August at 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at the group’s home at 23 Geoffrey Street, Mount Lofty.   The group is inviting former Scouts, past leaders, committee members, parents, and supporters to join current members for an afternoon recognising nine decades of youth development, community service, and Scouting tradition in Toowoomba.   A highlight of the celebration will be the official opening of the new campfire circle by Mayor Geoff McDonald, followed by the scarfing of Councillor Trevor Manteufel, acknowledging his ongoing support for Scouting in the region.   Guests will also enjoy historical displays, food, and opportunities to reconnect, reminisce, and share stories from years gone by.   For further information or to register your interest in attending, please contact bunyapark@scoutsqld.au.
