FULL DETAILS: Measles exposures linked to Toowoomba

An alert has been issued after a confirmed measles case was detected in the Darling Downs.

Darling Downs Public Health have urged the community to keep an eye on symptoms as two exposure sites have been identified.

The first site is the Brisbane Airport international arrival terminal on January 15 from 7pm to 9pm.

Toowoomba Medical and Dental Centre, including the Urgent Care Clinic, was also listed as a second exposure site on January 20 from 7.30am to 9.35am. 

Darling Downs Health says there is no ongoing risk at these sites.

The public is being asked to be mindful of the symptoms – which can take up to two weeks after exposure to show uP.

Symptoms include tiredness, fever, cough and a red rash that can spread over the body.

Anyone showing symptoms should contact their GP or 13 HEALTH.
