She Built That celebrates the creativity, imagination, and limitless potential of girls. This inspiring initiative empowers girls to build, create, and lead, breaking down gender stereotypes along the way.

Too often, the world underestimates what girls can achieve. That’s why LEGO Australia has teamed up with campaign ambassador Chloe Hayden, an actor, activist, and advocate for empowering young women to rewrite the narrative. The campaign shines a spotlight on incredible young girls who are changing the game with creativity, innovation, and determination.

She Built That is a movement designed to inspire girls to see themselves as builders, creators, and changemakers. It challenges outdated gender norms and shows that building isn’t just for boys. Whether it’s through building blocks or big ideas, this campaign celebrates what girls are capable of when they feel seen and supported.

As Chloe Hayden explains:
“She Built That isn’t just about bricks, it’s about empowering young girls to believe in their creativity and potential. When girls see role models who reflect their passions and talents, it inspires them to dream big and build boldly.”

Meet the Australian Girls Crew

As part of the campaign, LEGO Australia unveiled the Girls Crew, a group of inspiring young Aussie girls who are already making waves in their fields. These trailblazers star in a three-part YouTube series hosted by Chloe Hayden, where they showcase their talents, creativity, and bravery.

A Campaign with Impact

The She Built That campaign is paired with an uplifting reimagining of the iconic hip-hop track “It’s Like That” by RUN DMC. Renamed “She Built That”, the song and music video celebrate girls’ creativity and challenge gender stereotypes, encouraging society to see every girl as a builder, creator, and innovator.

LEGO Australia commissioned global research highlighting the need to redefine the perception of builders.

When Australian children hear the word “builder,” 41% picture a man on a construction site, while 38% imagine a boy playing with blocks. Meanwhile, 73% of girls find it hard to see themselves as skilled builders compared to boys.

Encouragingly, 81% of parents believe it’s time to make “building” a more inclusive concept, and 92% of children agree that everyone should feel empowered to build.

Building a Gender-Inclusive Future

LEGO Group Senior Vice President Lena Dixen explains:
“Being a builder is about creativity, problem-solving, and shaping the future. With She Built That, we hope to empower the next generation of female builders and create a world where every child’s potential is recognized, regardless of gender.”
