UPDATE|
The earlier emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) at Purga has been revoked.
Police were called to an address on Ipswich Boonah Road around 4.35pm following reports of three armed people breaking into the property and that shots had been fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a resident that managed to escape the property uninjured, and identified three armed people were still in the vicinity of the property.
Specialist officers engaged with the group for several hours, before all three were taken into custody around 9:45pm without incident.
Multiple crime scenes have been declared at the address and a 34 year-old Nerang man, a 29 year-old Willow Vale woman and a 32-year-old Kensington Grove man are now assisting police with enquires.
There is no ongoing threat to public safety and investigations are ongoing.

Parts of Purga in Ipswich has been placed into lockdown as a police incident continues to unfold.
Police were called to an address Ipswich-Boonah Road at around 4.35pm this afternoon – following reports of shots fired.
An emergency declaration has been made under the Public Safety Preservation Act.
The declaration zone includes boundaries encompassing Ipswich-Boonah Road to the west, Hughes Road to the north, Eastfield Court to the east and Carmichael Road to the south.
The public are asked to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
