
A crash has forced Toowoomba’s Will Power out of the Indy-car Race at Watkins Glen in New York today – and quite possibly out of the championship.
Power was forced into the barrier by contact with Charlie Kimball on lap 38 of 60 – it took him out of the race, and left his championship rival with a near-unbeatable lead.

The only ray of sunshine is that the Sonoma race is a double-points event, so it will all come down to the last for the Toowoomba driver.
News that Power may have suffered a concussion in the crash will be a complicating factor – doctors will have to give him the all clear, before he’s allowed back behind the wheel.
