
A frustrated Will Power has been forced out of this morning’s Indy Car race in the U.S., when his car aqua-planed into the wall…in wet and slippery conditions in Birmingham, Alabama.
It culminated in a disappointing start to season 2018 for the Toowoomba driver, and today it got even worse as he spun out of control and slid into a barrier just 17 laps in.
A bitterly disappointed Power couldn’t hold back his frustration as he described the wet and slippery conditions as ‘dangerous’, and said the contact with the wall which put him out of the race was ‘the last thing he and his team needed’.

The race was restarted after the accident, but then stopped again just six laps later, as other drivers and teams complained that the conditions were simply not suitable for racing.
