As at midday – Senior NRL figures are keeping quiet about the future of Roosters co-captain Mitchell Pearce — after video emerged of him simulating a lewd act on a dog.
For now, Pearce has been suspended from training – pending an investigating by his NRL club and League officials.
Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson says he’s had discussions ith Pearce and those discussions are continuing.
“After the incident on Wednesday night, we, the Sydney Roosters, found that Mitchell’s behaviour was unacceptable and that’s why he’s been stood down up until this matter is resolved.
“We’ve discussed it with players and we’re going through discussions with the NRL so that’s the next course of action. I can’t really comment on anything else until that’s resolved with the NRL.
