Ipswich-bred Supercar champ Ash Walsh has an anxious wait, to see if he has a clean bill of health, to race in this year’s Bathurst 1000.
It comes after the 28-year-old rolled his test car four times at up 290 kays an hour, last Thursday at Phillip Island.
He suffered severe bruising, rib cartilage damage, lung contusions, whiplash and a leg puncture.

Walsh will receive more medical treatment before a decision is made, ahead of joining the Brad Jones Racing team on Mount Panorama this weekend.
