
Ipswich’s Ash Barty has become the fourth Aussie to move into the second round of the Australian Tennis Open.
20 year-old Ms.Barty started slowly in both sets yesterday afternoon, before powering home to win 6 – 4, 7 – 5 over Germany’s Annika Bach.

The Aussie wildcard has spent 18 months off the circuit, during which time..she played W.B.B.L cricket for the Brisbane Heat, before returning to Tennis in early 2016.
