The new world No.1 was in a belligerent mood, crushing Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck – 6 – 1, 6 – 3 in 55 minutes.
She’ll now play British wildcard Harriet Dart, who edged out Brazilian qualifier, Beatriz Haddad Maia – 7 – 6, 7 – 4, 3 – 6, 6 – 1.
