There’s talk of a riot, if the N.R.L approves a plan to relocate the Newcastle Knights to Ipswich.
It’s a plan..described by many in the N.R.L as pure speculation.
The Knights are currently under administration by the N.R.L – they’re keen to offload it, but there have been multiple delays in various moves to sell the cash strapped club… so a move to Ipswich is now being touted.

League Legend Matty Johns has said Knights fans would riot – even set the N.R.L’s headquarters on fire, if the club moved to Ipswich.
Meantime, Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale welcomes the idea..but many in rugby league circles believe it would be a bad idea…if such a move does get approval.
