The Ipswich Jets have gone down to the Townsville Blackhawks 14 to 6.
The Jets got off to a flying start with Kierran Moseley crossing over in the 1st minute and the sides got stuck into a tough battle for 20 minutes.

The Blackhawks scored two before the 30th minute and a penalty goal was all that was scored in the second half.
The Ipswich boys will hope to make the most out of home field advantage in their game next Saturday against the Burleigh Bears.
