Young Gatton girls, like Courtney-Lee Nolan (pictured) will now get the chance to play rugby league, with the Gatton Hawks entering three teams for the Toowoomba Junior Rugby League girl’s competition.
The league will feature under 12, 14 and 17 girls for a 9-a-side-game, with the opportunity to increase to 13-a-side, if the numbers allow.
Junior Hawks President, Shayne Brooking says while the girls had a Toowoomba side they could play for in Brisbane…it’s great they’ll have the opportunity to train and compete locally.
