Far from a podium finish for the ‘Toowoomba Power’ in Texas.

Queensland Indy-car driver Will Power managed a top-ten finish in Texas on the weekend, after a biff-and-barge finish to the event at Texas Motor Speedway.

Power’s disappointing season continued with a poor showing in qualifying…the Toowoomba driver was relegated to 17th place at the start of the 600 lap event.

He had managed to climb about three spots, when a couple of the front-runners came a cropper…New Zealander Scott Dixon and teenager Colson Herta took each other out, as had James Hinchliffe earlier.

In the end, Power finished 9th…a far cry from his first placing at the Texas Speedway in 2017 and back in 2011.
