Two Darling Downs girls have made rugby league history after being called up for the under 15’s Queensland squad.
Ashleigh Isaacs and Abelee Stanley are now the first locals on the team after a successful 12 months of matches and intense training.
Abelee told the Chronicle that it is a nice surprise..

“Mum got the call but when she told me I was so nervous but also excited because it’s Queensland and a higher level for me.”
The pair will join the maroons on the Gold Coast in January for coaching with Wayne Bennett.
