
Toowoomba’s Will Power remains in touch with the leaders on the Indy Car championship, despite a disappointing sixth place this morning.
Power, the reigning Indianapolis 500 champion, had taken pole position for today’s Iowa Corn 300 and he got away to a good start.
However, pit stop strategy and some accidents elsewhere in the field left him in sixth position, and a lap down at the race’s end.

The result still leaves him in the top five, but with the season two-thirds over, next week’s Toronto street event could prove crucial.
