Ben Barba has been released from his contract by Cronulla, after he tested positive to Cocaine in the days after the Sharks’ grand final triumph.
Barba says he accepts he needs to take time away from the game to deal with personal issues..because if he doesn’t address them now – he’ll ruin his career and more importantly, his family and his life.

Club boss, Lyall Gorman says Barba will be a major loss for the club, but the far greater priority is for him to focus on his long term future away from footy.
