Australia-wide coverage puts Gatton on the Cup Race Day map.

This Saturday’s Gatton Cup Race Day will be telecast nationwide, showcasing the town and it’s horse-racing tradition.

Hosted by the Lockyer Valley Turf Club, the annual Gatton Cup is an event with a chequered history.

When it began in the 50’s, the race day was unsuccessful…but has since grown to be one of the region’s major race days with increased prize money and local support.

The Gatton Cup itself is a 2000 metre race with $20,000 total prize money on offer as a Tier 1 Club, and all races will be televised at venues across Australia on the day.
