Australian champion tenpin bowler Jason Belmonte has won his third successive World Player of the Year title.
The Professional Bowling Association announced here on Wednesday that Belmonte had become only the third bowler to win the world title three years in succession.
Belmonte, who bowls with a unique two-handed delivery, won two major American tournaments in 2015 and finished in the top five in nine other major tournaments
