Two straight sets victories to open the tournament, and through to the Australian Open third round for the third consecutive year…it’s all going well so far, for Australia’s top-ranked tennis player, Ipswich’s Ashleigh Barty.
The 22-year-old is not even letting the illness of her coach affect her plans or preparation.
Ms.Barty notched up her 6 – 2, 6 – 4 second-round win yesterday, over China’s Yafan Wang on centre court in just over an hour.
