Ipswich’s Ash Barty plays her second round at the Australian Open today.
The 21 year-old secured a place, following her 6 – 4, 7 – 5 win over Germany’s Annika Beck on day one.

The result is a first for Ms.Barty, who has never passed the first round of the Grand slam.
She will play world number 52, Shelby Rodgers in her next match.
