Local weightlifting champion Alyce Stephenson is back in Ipswich, and is now taking time out, after her successful performance at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
The Ipswich Hospital Surgical nurse finished seventh in the 48 kilogram weight category, on day one of the games.
She’s told The Q.T…she spent a better part of a year preparing for the event, but now wants to spend time catching up with family and friends.
