NRL Rocked By Shock Signings

nrl signing

The NRL world has been turned on its head tonight with a plethora of stars signing on for rival teams.

Erin Molan reported on The Footy Show tonight that Tigers captain Aaron Woods has signed with the Bulldogs and will be joined by Kieran Foran at Belmore next season.

In a double blow to the Tigers it appears James Tedesco is also on his way out.

It’s believed Tedesco, who was also in the sights of the Bulldogs, has inked a deal with the Roosters worth more than $1 million a season.

Woods and Tedesco are expected to inform Tigers officials tomorrow that they are leaving the club at the end of the season.

The departures are a massive blow to new coach Ivan Clearly who has also lost five-eighthMitchell Moses to Parramatta next season.

Clearly is expected to target former Warrior’s forward Russell Packer as a replacement for Woods, with several Bulldogs players set to be let go to accommodate the signings of Woods and Foran.

Meantime Trent Hodkinson has been dumped from Newcastle’s side to take on the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night.

It’s believed Hodkinson has fallen out of favour with coach Nathan Brown after an indifferent start to the year.
