Cold winter blast to hit Ipswich and Darling Downs

Ipswich and the Darling Downs are set to record their coldest nights of the year so far this weekend.
Forecasters are predicting an overnight low of zero in Ipswich and Toowoomba.
But, Chris Joseph from the Weather Bureau says the Granite Belt will cop the worst of it.
"We're looking at around -6 degrees for Stanthorpe tonight with obviously frost areas as well.
And again around -5 degrees tomorrow night.
So, the Granite Belt is going to be around about the coldest region in Queensland over the next two nights".
