A mother of two is suing Logan Hospital, claiming they allegedly failed to properly investigate and diagnose a serious condition, before it caused permanent injury.
Rachael Baker (pictured) was taken to the hospital's emergency department with severe back pain in 2014.
Despite her symptoms, the 42-year-old alleges she was discharged without the proper assessments and tests.
The A.B.C reports five days later, Ms.Baker returned to Logan Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a severe spinal infection, which led to her becoming a partial paraplegic.
Rachael spent weeks in intensive care, and now cannot move without a walker or wheelchair.
