Toowoomba's Peacehaven Botanic Park opens

Toowoomba's Peacehaven Botanic Park has been officially opened today in time for the 68th Carnival of Flowers.
Local Government Minister Mark Furner and Toowoomba Regional Council Deputy Mayor Carol Taylor did the honours this morning.
The Minister says the Highfield based park has enhanced the image of the city.
"Regardless of whether this is Highfield or any other location ..you can see the benefit and flow on effect.
You see the community coming out and volunteering and getting involved in these things.
You see the jobs that have been created and this project created 15 local jobs here".
