DALBY: Gas company fined over radiation exposure

An oil and gas company has been fined more than 160-thousand dollars after a worker at a Dalby drilling site in the Darling Downs suffered radiation burns.
Schlumberger Oilfield Australia was convicted of two breaches of the Radiation Safety Act over the incident. 
The court heard the worker received leg burns when he was exposed to an unshielded radioactive source during a borehole logging operation in 20-14.
