Police had to use the Polair chopper, stinger strips and the dog squad to catch a man and a teen who allegedly stole a car at Toowoomba and led them on a chase along the Warrego Highway on Friday night.
A 20-year-old South Toowoomba man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a drug utensil.
A 16-year-old Rockville boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle. Polair 1 tracked the stolen vehicle from Wilsonton late on Friday night - The vehicle, which contained three people, travelled onto the Warrego Highway and headed west before stopping briefing at a closed petrol station, before turning around and heading back towards Toowoomba.
Stingers were deployed, but despite having flat tyres, the vehicle continued along the Warrego Highway for 2kms before the three allegedly got out and ran .. the dog squad apprehended two of them.
