Man bashed with metal pole in Booval
A man has serious injuries after he was bashed with a metal pole in Booval.
The attack was carried out after up to six people went to an address in Bergin Street at around 9:15PM on Sunday night. Police say it is believed they went there to try to sort out a long-running dispute.
An argument broke out and a 23-year-old man was hit in the head several times with a metal pole.
The group left in two vehicles that were parked nearby.
The injured man is recovering in the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
