To mark the start of National Childrens Week from October 25 youngsters from across Ipswich got to question council representatives school principals community leaders and service providers about issues that matter to them.

A livestreamed Q and A event seen as a first for Australia as part of Mission Australias Childrens Voices project featured four kids aged 10 to 12 from Riverview Redbank Plains Leichhardt and Goodna State Primary Schools.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said forums like the Ipswich Childrens Voices give local kids the opportunity to be heard and play a more active role in shaping our community.
