Thousands of locals are raiding their super nest egg early due to the COVID 19 crisis.
Industry Super data shows the average withdrawal is nearly $8000 in areas of Ipswich and Somerset while over four thousand people emptied their super account completely.
Federal Blair MP Shayne Neumann says the Morrison government gave many little option but to  tap into their retirement savings:
"First the government could have extended JobKeeper to people who were casual workers, who were working for less than 12 months with their employers.
If the Morrison Government had done that then people may not have had to access their superannuation".
